New Orleans Pelicans starboy and man of the moment Zion Williamson is expected to make his NBA debut come January 22 on a home game, against the ever enduring San Antonio Spurs.
Zion will be looking forward to making his mark while the San Antonio Spurs team will be doing all that is in their power to avoid been the first team that will officially go down against the elite player.
Pelicans Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations David Griffin made it known to reporters that Zion will not have any minutes restriction and that it is very likely that he won’t play back-to-back’s this season and went on to reveal how the player has been improving his body during his recovery period in preparation for his debut.
Zion Williamson was 2019 top overall pick has missed the first 41 games of the season after suffering a torn lateral meniscus during the preseason.
Fans were disappointed but at last it seems they will finally get their chance to watch him play. In four preseason games, Williamson averaged 23.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists in only 27 minutes per game.
