Willow Smith has announced that she will be releasing a new album titled ‘Lately I Feel Everything’ on July 16. The singer has also gone ahead to share a brand new song ‘Lipstick’.
The new album is inspired by Lavigne, My Chemical Romance, and Paramore. Willow Smith recently revealed in an interview that she was bullied in school for her choice of music and hoped her upcoming project “means something to Black girls who feel they want to do something different than what’s expected”.
“Just through the music that I’m putting out right now and the representation that I can bring to the mix, I just hope that the Black girls who are listening to my music and listening to this album see that there’s more of us out there,” Willow shared. “It’s a real thing, you’re not alone. You’re not the only Black girl who wishes she could flip her hair to the side and wear black eyeliner, you know what I mean?”
“I just wanted to let loose with this album.” She said while announcing the album’s arrival. “I wanted to have fun and be young and not be so existential and worrying all the time,” Willow said in a statement. “I thought this was a really dope outlet for a new energy I wanted to bring to my music.”

The album serves as the follow-up to her 2019 project Willow.
