American singer and sweetheart Taylor Swift has being named the Woman of the year by American entertainment brand billboard.
The singer and songwriter got the award for her many contributions to the music industry and also for her many achievements over the years.
Such accomplishments include five albums that ranked number one on Billboard 200, five singles that also took the first spot of Billboard Hot 100 as well as three global stadium tours and two awards for Billboard Woman of the Year Awards.
The Reading, Pennsylvania born who is know for her narrative style of music started music at a very young age, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of just 14 to pursue her music career and since then, it has being all win for her.
Taylor was also the main attraction at the just concluded American Music Awards 2019 where she bagged six massive wins, including artist of the decade.
Other factors which won her the award include her commitment to protecting creative rights, music education, literacy programs, cancer research, disaster relief and the Time’s Up initiative.
