Rihanna’s forthcoming studio album fondly called ‘R9’ has been one of the most anticipated of 2020. The singer on Friday night held a live session on Instagram, fans kept asking when she will be releasing the album and Rihanna decided to give them a piece of her mind by reminding them that fighting the ongoing coronavirus pandemic is more important at the moment.
“If one of y’all motherf***ers ask me about the album one more time when I’m tryna save the world, unlike y’all president….on sight,” she said, referring to the president of the United states Donald Trump who is facing criticism for handling the Coronavirus situation in the country.

The singer has so far donated $1 million to Coronavirus relief funds. Her Clara Lionel Foundation has also teamed up with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to donate $4.2 million to the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles to help domestic abuse victims amid the quarantine crisis.
The singer has not given fans a lot of information concerning the forthcoming album, she recently covered ‘British Vogue’ in which she revealed that she is aggressively working on new music.
“I can’t say when I’m going to drop… but I am very aggressively working on music. I don’t want all my albums to feel like themes. There are no rules, there’s no format, there’s nothing. There’s just good music and if I feel it, I’m putting it out.”
