President Trump is set to leave the white house on Wednesday (Jan. 20) but before he leaves, the 45th U.S. president is planning to issue at least 100 pardons and commutations which reportedly include some ‘high profile rappers’.
The list comes at a time when many rappers have found themselves behind bars and in need of help, a source tells CNN that the president is likely going to pardon people that have stood by him in the past or people he may need in the nearest future.
“Everything is a transaction. He likes pardons because it is unilateral. And he likes doing favors for people he thinks will owe him,” the source claims.
Rapper Lil Wayne has been rumored to be amongst those who will be receiving a federal pardon, Weezy publicly campaigned for Trump in the days leading to the presidential elections, drawing a lot of backlash in the process.
Another high profile rapper who has been rumored to get a pardon is Kodak Black, although his relationship with the president is not solid, we just have to wait and see.
