The president of the United States Donald Trump on Friday declared a national emergency over Coronavirus , which in turn invokes the Stafford Act freeing billions of dollars in federal funds and also sets the Federal Emergency Management Agency in motion.
Trump said Friday he was also urging every state to set up emergency operation centers “effective immediately” and asking “every hospital in the country to activate its emergency preparedness plan.”
He also added that there will be an increase in testing people for the virus, adding that people who aren’t showing symptoms shouldn’t be getting tested for the coronavirus at this time.
