After been a victim of cyberbully earlier this month, Lizzo has returned with some fire body-positive Instagram images to let her haters know that she’s not quitting and is still “the finest b*tch in the universe.”
Although social app, Facebook, was quick to remove the negative comments on the singer’s post, it is difficult to manage thousands of comments at once so they couldn’t stop all the comments from getting to her. In a live stream after the abuse, Lizzo shed tears on Livestream as she lamented over being bombarded with negativity.
“For the most part, it doesn’t hurt my feelings. I don’t care,” she said at the time. “I just think when I’m working this hard, my tolerance gets lower, my patience is lower, I’m more sensitive and it gets to me.”
She captions her new post, “Just reminding myself that I’m the finest b*tch in the universe and can’t nobody convince me otherwise not even myself.”
The singer after the release of her collaboration with Cardi B ‘Rumors’ faced hateful messages about her size and weight.
“I don’t mind critiques about me — my music,” she recently said. “I don’t even mind the fat comments, you know. I just feel like it’s unfair sometimes, the treatment that people like me receive.”
She continued: “People are like, don’t let ‘em see you with your head down. My head is always up. Even when I’m upset and even when I’m crying, my head is up. But I know it’s my job as an artist to reflect the times, and this should not fly. This shouldn’t be okay.”
