It seems Lizzo is not waiting until boxing day before she starts handing out gifts. The singer/songwriter shared a video of her gifting her mother, Shari Johnson-Jefferson, a brand new car while filming the whole thing.
Just like in the movies, her mom walks in, with her eyes close while Lizzo’s voice can be heard, directing her on where to go. She finally opens her eyes with the singer saying, “got you an Audi, girl.”
“Got my mommy a brand new Audi for Xmas,” Lizzo wrote on Instagram alongside the heartwarming video.
“I remember crying in my car when my daddy passed, no job no money nowhere to live, wishing I could one day provide for my family. I couldn’t do it for my dad so ima make sure I spoil Mama. Happy holidays y’all.”
