Kanye West’s Sunday Choir Sues Him Over Unpaid Wages

Dec 8, 2020, 15:01am EST – Kanye West’s famous Sunday Choir is planning to sue the rapper for $1 million over unpaid wages owed to the team that assisted with the production of the first-ever event at the Hollywood Bowl.
The first ever event was produced by Kanye in collaboration with Live Nation, both who are been sued. The event reportedly took several weeks to plan and a lot of last-minute changes were made, as a result a lot of workers have not being paid for overtime or paid at all.
The lawsuit also claims that Kanye West and Live Nation failed to “properly compensate the hair assistant and many dozens of other persons who performed services on the production, including the background actors, performing as audience members.”
A hairstylist alleged that she was not paid for her overtime and other costs. She has filed for “unpaid wages, continuing wages, damages, civil penalties, statutory penalties and attorney’s fees.”
It’s unclear who is behind the lawsuit.
