The album has experienced a lot of push backs in the last month having missed all three previous release schedules and even went to not having a release date as a source close to the rapper revealed that “Every time he listens, there’s something he wants to change.” Well it seems the wait will finally be over as Kanye has put in place a new release date.
Jesus is king will be an all gospel songs album, the first of its kind for the talented artist but it seems more will definitely follow as Kanye reportedly announced that he will no longer be making secular music in a sunday service in Chicago and even reportedly had plans of quitting music as explained by his pastor Adam Tyson.
“One time, he told me that he wasn’t going to rap,” Tyson said in a recent interview. “I said, ‘Why not?’ He said, ‘That’s the devil’s music.’ I said, ‘Hey, man. Rap is a genre. You can rap for God.’ I think he was already thinking about it a little bit, but I definitely said, ‘Hey, bro. I think you need to use your talents that God’s given you and use that platform for God.'”
If the October 25th date holds then it means will be arriving on the same day as the film that ‘Ye made to accompany the project. Tickets for the film, which will be screened across the world in IMAX theaters, were made available last week.
