UPDATE (July 24): Revolt’s Tv Justin who previously broke the news of Donda’s first private listening party has now revealed on Twitter that Kanye West will now be releasing the album on August 6.
“KANYE WEST WILL MOVE THE RELEASE DATE OF DONDA TO AUGUST 6TH,” he wrote. “THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE. HE WANTS TO GIVE HIS FANS THE BEST POSSIBLE PRODUCT WITHOUT RUSHING ANYTHING. HE LOVES YALL WITH ALL OF HIS HEART. GOD BLESS.”
This comes after the album failed to make it to streaming platforms on the initial July 23 release date after a huge listening event broadcast live from a sold-out stadium in Atlanta on Thursday night.
Previous Story (July 19):
Kanye West reportedly held a listening party on July 18, in Las Vegas for his new studio album which is rumored to arrive on streaming platforms this week.
Revolt’s Tv Justin was present at the exclusive event in which did not allow those invited to carry big bags or gadgets to avoid leaks shared the news on social media.
“Man listen! The production is light years ahead of it’s time, and the bars sound like he’s broke & hungry trying to get signed again. Any artist who plan on dropping soon should just push it back,” he wrote, adding in a separate tweet, “Kanye West album is really done. When it drops this week, we probably not going to listen to anything else for a while.. Let me go enjoy all the current artist I’m listening to until then. God bless[.]“
This comes after Kanye West was spotted in a studio with Tyler, the Creator while a whiteboard behind the two revealed what seems to be the tracklist for the new album. You can find out more about this story here.
