Joeboy Releases Debut Album ‘Somewhere Between Beauty and Magic’ (SBBM)
Joeboy has released his highly anticipated debut studio album Somewhere Between Beauty and Magic (SBBM). The 14-track project serves as the follow-up to his 2019 EP ‘Love and Light.’
For somehow who has worked with a lot of artists since he found his way to the spotlight, the project surprisingly doesn’t feature any other artist. The entire album is produced by Dera, Type A, BeatsbyKO, MOG, Big Fish, Tempoe, Mex Flairz, E Kelly, Killertunes, and Semzy.
In a recent interview with okayafrica, Joeboy was asked while he chose to name the album ‘Somewhere Between Beauty and Magic’ (SBBM). Take a look at his reply below.
“You know the first project was Love and Light. I spoke with Oxygen Mix—my mixing engineer—about what we should name the next project. When we were in Ghana riding quad bikes somewhere, Oxygen was like this place is beautiful. “Let’s call it somewhere between beauty and magic.” Another reason why we settled on the name is because the album consists of songs that are about different parts of love. Love is beautiful. Love is magic. These were songs I made with those influences.”
