Dating back to 2009 when Nas was prepping his then untitled studio album, a Nas and Just Blaze track was previewed, many people at the time expected the track to make the album but it never saw the light of day.
A few weeks ago, JAY-Z’s lost verse on the track was leaked online, and went under-the-radar. It’s unclear what the song’s intentions and placement were for, but you can take a listen to some of Hovi’s verse below.
Jay Z was recently in the news after some fans slammed the 4.44 rapper and his wife Beyonce for sitting down during the national anthem at super bowl.
Jigga however revealed during a Q&A at Columbia University in New York City that it was nothing of sort and also wasn’t premeditated.
“What happened was, we got there, we were sitting, and now the show’s about to start,” Jay-Z explained. “My wife was with me and so she says to me, ‘I know this feeling right here.’ Like, she’s super-nervous because she’s performed at Super Bowls before. So we get there and we immediately jump into artist mode… now I’m really just looking at the show. Did the mic start? Was it too low to start?”
