We previously reported that rapper Jackboy was on February 23, arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon following a traffic stop in Monroe County, Ga.

Following a traffic stop, the cops discovered two unregistered handguns, a 9mm and Glock in the glove box next to Jackboy’s seat. Although the rapper told cops that he had no connection to the guns and another backseat passenger laid claimed to the guns, Jackboy was still arrested and booked for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Prosecutors now say they have no evidence Jackboy had a connection to the guns.

According to Tmz, the Monroe County D.A, Jonathan L. Adams said his office decided not to move forward with charges against the rapper “due to our concern regarding being able to prove [Jackboy] had actual knowledge of the location of the firearms.”

In a statement, Jackboy’s attorney Drew Findling, says, “We told you early this year that Pierre Delince (Jackboy) was innocent of these charges.” He added, “We are very much appreciative of them making that important decision.”
