Drake Earns 7th No.1 On Billboard Hot 100 With ‘Toosie Slide‘

Canadian rapper Drake has earned his seventh No.1 on Billboard Hot 100 chart with his recent release titled ‘Toosie Slide,‘ also making the rapper the first male artist to debut three No. 1 songs on the Hot 100 chart.
Drake now tiles Mariah Carey, who achieved three No. 1 debuts on the Hot 100 in 1995-97. ‘Toosie Slide‘ debuted earlier this month and just like most releases from him, it received its share of criticism from a section of fans who accused him for chasing a “Tik Tok hit.”
Although three of Drizzy’s tracks have debuted at the top spot, the OVO rapper is on his seventh Hot 100 No. 1 record, thanks to “Toosie Slide.” Rihanna’s “What’s My Name?” featuring Drake (2010), RiRi’s “Work,” which also features Drake (2016), “One Dance,” featuring WizKid and Kyla (2016), “God’s Plan” (2018), “Nice for What” (2018) and “In My Feelings” (2018) have all landed at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Drake has also spent 50 consecutive weeks at the top of the chart.
The song also debuted at No. 3 on the Digital Song Sales chart. Nielsen Music reports that the Toronto native’s new single moved 25,000 units by April 9, just six days after the song was released.
