It’s been 22 long years since music legend Diana Ross gifted loyal fans with a new album but it seems that will soon change as the singer is planning a major comeback with a new album titled ‘Thank You’ which will be arriving on Sept. 10.
To set the tempo for the forthcoming album, Ross has expressed her gratitude and love in form of a new song of thesame title as the album. You can listen to it below. ‘Thank You’ will feature 13 tracks, all co-written by Ross and was recorded in her home studio during the COVID-19 lockdown.
“This collection of songs is my gift to you with appreciation and love. I am eternally grateful that I had the opportunity to record this glorious music at this time,” Ross said in a statement on Thursday. “I dedicate this songbook of love to all of you, the listeners. As you hear my voice, you hear my heart.”
With 100 million records in sales worldwide, Ross is still a mother figure in the music industry. She previously took the stage at the 2019 Grammys to perform a medley of her greatest hits.
When I was a little girl, I felt the joy of singing. It made me happy and made my parents happy,” she told the audience before singing “The Best Years of My Life.”
