Christian Wood of Detroit Pistons have tested positive for coronavirus, according to ESPN source Adrian Wojnarowski and the Pistons who have both issued official statements.
The Pistons did not mention Wood’s name but rather said a play tested positive for coronavirus and would “remain in isolation and under the care of the team’s medical staff.”
Christian Wood testing positive for coronavirus comes after Utah Jazz players Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert had tested positive for the virus. In a game that Detroit played against the Jazz previously, Wood reportedly matched up with Rudy Gobert many times during that game.
He is the third NBA player to test positive to the virus.
