XXL is continuing in their yearly tradition of presenting the freshman class which represent a group of young artist who are new to the game and are expected to impact the music scene greatly in the coming months. The magazine has revealed it’s 2020 class.
Although the year 2020 has been interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic, several artist were still able to make an impression and hold it down for their cities. They are!.
NLE Choppa from Memphis, Polo G & Calboy from Chicago, Lil Tjay & Fivio Foreign from New York, Baby Keem from Las Vegas, Jack Harlow from Louisville, Ky, Rod Wave from St. Petersburg, Fla., Chika from Montgomery, Ala., Mulatto & Lil Keed from Atlanta.
The magazine also revealed that late rapper Pop Smoke was chosen as the first Freshman in the class before he past away and are unable to including him as part of the cover posthumously due to circumstances beyond their control.
