Cardi B’s breakout single ‘Bodak Yellow’ has now been certified diamond after moving more than 10 million copies making her the first female rapper in history to reach such a milestone.
Her success closely follows that of Lauryn Hill who just recently became the first female rapper to accomplish a diamond-selling album with The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Cardi took to social media to thank and celebrate with her Twitter fans.

“Bodak Yellow” soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in September of 2017. The historical moment marked the first song by a solo woman rapper to top the chart in 19 years. Prior to that, only Lauryn Hill had achieved the ranking with her 1998 hit, “Doo Wop (That Thing).”
She is currently readying her second studio album which name and release date are yet unknown but all indications point to later this year.
