Nigerian Afro-beat artist Burna Boy is the 2020 recipient of BET’s ‘Best International Act‘ beating Stormzy and Dave from the United Kingdom, Ninho and S.Pri Noir from France, Innoss’B from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and well as ‘John Cena’ singer Sho Madjozi from South Africa.
Burna released his highly anticipated ‘African Giant‘ studio album featuring the likes of Zlatan, Jeremih, Serani, M.Anifest, Damian Marley, Angelique Kidjo, Future and YG on a powerful 19 track project. The album quickly skyrocketed him into the stratosphere giving him recognition globally.
Former United States president Barack Obama listed his song “Anybody” as one of his favorite in the year 2019. Burna was also scheduled to headline Broccoli 2020 festival before the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemics.
