British TV personality and the former host of reality hit show “Love Island”, Caroline Flack is dead at 40. A lawyer for the family said she had died by suicide and was found in her home according to reports from Cnn.
“We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today, the 15th of February,” the family’s statement said. “We would ask that the press respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time and we would ask they make no attempt to contact us and/or photograph us.”
Caroline took her own life after a worried friend who was staying with her went to the shops, leaving the ex-Love Island host who was replaced as host back in 2015, alone at her London flat.
Caroline began hosting “Love Island,” a British dating-reality show on which the public voted off their least favorite “islanders” until December, 2015, when she was charged for assaulting her 27-year-old boyfriend at her home.
She pleaded not guilty to assaulting her 27-year-old boyfriend. She was out on bail awaiting trial scheduled for March.
