Bobby was also arrested in the same case and is still locked up. A search on the Department of Corrections website confirms that Bobby is a free man. Rowdy, Bobby Shmurda, and their fellow GS9 affiliates were initially hit with for a variety of charges, including conspiracy, murder, drugs, and weapons possession. Shmurda took a plea deal so that Rebel could serve less time.
Both Bobby and Rowdy were scheduled to be free men at the same time but a New York City judge extended Shmurda’s sentence in 2017 after the rapper allegedly attempted to bring a “sharp metal object” into Rikers Island.
