“Embarrass” singer, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie has pledge to donate the sum of $50,000 to UNICEF USA to aid in their Hurricane Dorian ground efforts in the Bahamas. He also encouraged others to come out and assist the victims, emphasizing on the need to show love to those in need.
“The Bahamas need our help, man. You got kids and families left with nothing out there,” A Boogie said in a statement. “We got to show love and support in any way we can to help rebuild that beautiful place. Every little thing helps.”
Other celebrities to pledge assistance include Lil Uzi Vert who also pledged to match every additional dollar raised up to $50,000 USD and basketball legend Michael Jordan who pledged $1 million towards the hurricane relief fund, describing the Bahamas as his home and also encouraged others to do the same.
“I am devastated to see the destruction that Hurricane Dorian has brought to the Bahamas, where I own property and visit frequently. My heart goes out to everyone who is suffering and to those who have loved ones.” Jordan earlier shared through his representative, Estee Portnoy.
