G-Unit rapper 50 Cent has revealed that he is curating the soundtrack for his upcoming Starz series Black Mafia Family which is expected to make a dramatic entrance before the year runs out.
Inspired by a true-life story, Black Mafia Family tells the story of two brothers who rose from the dirt from southwest Detroit and gave birth to one of the most influential crime families in this country. The series stars Michole Briana White (Songbird), Ajiona Alexus (Empire), Eric Kofi-Abrefa (Blue Story) and Myles Truitt (Kin), Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. and Da’Vinchi. The series follows 50 Cent’s highly rated series ‘Power’.
During a lengthy interview with Thisis50, 50 Cent name-dropped 42 Dugg and Jeezy as artists who will be making guest appearances on the project, 50 at the moment is not on good terms with Jeezy and the rapper didn’t fail to take shots at the rapper, jokingly saying that he is trying to convince Dugg to get Jeezy off the track that he sent in.
“I got another record coming off the BMF soundtrack, BMF will have a whole musical soundtrack connected to it, there are so many people connected. That story is connected culturally, BMF, so you’ll see more involvement from other artists. I got 42 Dugg, he already sent something. Him and Jeezy. I like it with 42 Dugg though, you don’t really need Jeezy.”
You just need 42 Dugg,” he continued. “I’m just trying to convince him to take that nigga off the record and just rock, cause his shit is hot. The other shit, we can do without that shit.”
In the rest of the interview, 50 Cent talked about his childhood and losing his mother at a young age, 50 also said that the upcoming series will be better than his previous.
A premiere date is yet to be announced for BMF.
