2 Chainz Unveils New Album ‘Dope Don’t Sell Itself’

2 Chainz is looking to release the follow-up to his 2020 album So Help Me God which featured guest appearances from YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Kanye West, Lil Uzi Vert, Rick Ross and others. Today the rapper has announced via Instagram that he will be releasing a new album titled ‘Dope Don’t Sell Itself’.
The album will arrive via his label via Def Jam, 2 Chainz back in 2020 revealed that he was considering leaving the label but later revealed during a conversation with Zane Lowe on Apple music that he might stay after the label offered him an “enticing” deal.
“With this one [So Help me God] I thought it was gonna be an amicable split. And me knowing I still have more in the tank, I was just gonna leave and see what God had to offer. And they came back with a few things that were enticing, and you know, we’re working on it,” he said.
The rapper has been surprisingly quiet since his last album arrived, probably due to everything that is going on, he only recently appeared on features like the one he did for Gucci Mane’s Ice Daddy album and ‘Baddest‘ with Yung Bleu.
A release date for ‘Dope Don’t Sell Itself’ is yet to be announced. Take a look at the Instagram post.
